Was a native of Detroit, Michigan and studied art in New York and Ukraine. Staber worked for 25 years as an artist for Ford Motor Company designing brochures & print advertising. While Kolada was versatile in many mediums, watercolor was his favorite. The geography of his home state, Michigan was a favorite subject. Ford’s historic Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Kensington Park in Detroit or rural country roads are just some of the places where he found inspiration for his realist style.
